The CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction is designed for tradespeople, owner builder / renovators and those seeking a career change to develop their knowledge and skills in residential building and construction.

By undertaking the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction you will learn how to plan building and construction work, apply building codes and standards to the construction process, prepare building contracts and apply for permits, and how to manage on-site work and a small business effectively.

The qualification is a Nationally Recognised Qualification and can assist you in preparing to become a Registered Building Practitioner.

Classes are held in the evenings, two nights a week over 42 weeks (excluding public holidays).

Today’s Australian Bureau of Statistics data shows the total value of Victorian building approvals increased by 28.5% to $4.6 billion in November 2017, and is up 67.2 per cent over the year.

In Victoria, 34,500 people were added to the headcount of construction workers. That’s an increase of 13.5% which is the second highest across the nation.

Over the 2018-19 year, 47% of employers expect permanent staff levels to increase while 22% expect to increase their use of temporary and contract staff.
